Johnson & Wales University runs a busy study abroad program for its 12,000 students at its main campus in Providence, RI, and satellite locations in Denver, North Miami and Charlotte. The university’s more than 500 study abroad participants can pick from 90 different programs.
But, as the study abroad leaders processed hundreds of applications, they faced substantial obstacles:
A digital platform to market programs and expand its portfolio.
A cloud-based application that efficiently served all four campuses with real-time data.
Weekly meetings with a special work group of the institution’s study abroad team and internal IT representatives to ensure everybody was up to speed.
Gatherings, announcements and handouts for faculty, staff, administrators and students to educate them about the change and how to use the new system.
