PCI DSS v3.0 is the latest data security standard published by the Payment Card Industry for service providers and others who interact with online payment processes. Following an exhaustive audit of our hosting services at our U.S. data center in Louisville, KY, we are pleased to announce that on February 24, 2015, Terra Dotta received its first PCI certification. To help provide an overview and explain the significance of PCI compliance, we spoke with Garrett Christian, Terra Dotta co-founder and Chief Technology Officer.

The study abroad field continues to move forward and grow. However, when you look at the data, the U.S. study abroad field is expanding, in terms of student enrollments (total numbers and percentages) much slower than U.S. colleges and universities are in terms of the growth in enrollment of international students. Many say that the differences are based primarily on the ways that U.S. colleges and universities focus on the need for international students to pay the full cost of education in public universities or have a lower discount rate (get less scholarships and grants than U.S. students) in private colleges and universities.

Antonio began working for Terra Dotta as a Systems Integration Specialist in April of 2014. He spends his days configuring client authentication mechanisms, resolving client authentication issues, analyzing server and application log data for problem resolutions, and coding utilities to help Terra Dotta work more efficiently.
Prior to joining Terra Dotta, Antonio completed a BS in Computer Science at N.C. State University, after which he worked as an Engineer for Nortel/BNR prior to transitioning into independent consulting. He has spent the last 10 years working as a Coldfusion Engineer at various small and large companies.
When not working, Antonio enjoys serving his community, improving his Spanish, bowling, and riding his bicycle.
